This Shino tea bowl is made from a blend of highly refractory local clay from Kuntt and raw Bohemian clay rich in silica, generously coated with a feldspar based Shino glaze. Fired in an anagama (wood fired tunnel kiln), the piece displays fiery hi iro (scarlet fire marks) and areas of dry, matte texture, creating a vivid surface that conveys the distinctive depth unique to Shino
