Nahuala Universe Pastel Pillow cotton pillow and a hand embroidered randaThis textile was woven by an artisan from the village of Nahuala, Guatemala using a back strap loom, a time honored method of weaving. The pattern represents one of Nahualas traditional geometric designs. This pillow was made in partnership with a non profit organization on Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. Why do we call it the universe pillow? Because the motif symbolises the universe in Maya hand weaving tradition.
