Personally I didn't have any issues with the components (hooks, blades, keepers etc.) on the lower end models so I can't justify paying $15-$18 (vs $4-$8) for a slightly better hook and 2 wire keepers and a slightly better blade

My buddy that fishes Steelhead a bunch suggested that another way to rig them was like a bead
