There were two main things to adjust for a custom fit: the height of the pack frame , which can be shortened or lengthened based on torso length, and the molding of the hipbelt , which requires a special Osprey oven (much like custom insoles)

So what I recommend doing is put the reel on the rod and see how it fits and how it balances the bigger reels may very well fit better so its not worth making a change without trying it on the reel
