10-pound monofilament, which is what the reel was referring to has a line diameter of .011 inches and 10-pound braided line has a diameter of .008 inches

On the downside, the Newton Ridge Plus 2s are slower to break in and feel somewhat stiff out of the box and dont offer quite as much cushioning at the heel or midfoot as others on this list

Expect to buy a new spincast reel every season or two
