This is simply not the time for goat rope or braid
Pros Light LT body suits roving and stalking Freespool control for fishing tight to snags Balances well on shorter rods Sensible Daiwa build for the role Cons Not built for distance casting Line capacity too small for big waters The Sonik Xtractor Plus 5000 GS is the reel I put on a floater or stalking rod, and it's the one that makes that lively, mobile style of carp fishing a pleasure
Fly lines
This provides a direct-line pull that increases hook-setting efficiency and reduces line stress at the eye
